CHALLENGE

Gamenetics, a leading seller of refurbished gaming controllers for PlayStation and Xbox, had already established a strong digital marketing presence when they approached flyte new media. However, despite their success across multiple platforms, they lacked the time and resources to dive into the complex world of Google Ads. With their team focused on building high-quality controllers and managing other marketing efforts, they needed a strategic partner to unlock the potential of paid search without diverting their attention from core business operations.

SOLUTION

To maximize Gamenetics’ visibility and sales, we launched an initial Performance Max campaign focused on shopping ads that incorporated their entire product catalog. In parallel, we experimented with search campaigns targeting specific product features such as hall effect joysticks, customizable controllers, mouse-click triggers, and back buttons, as well as more general Xbox and PlayStation controller searches.

Through testing and data analysis, we discovered that search ads were not the ideal fit for Gamenetics—while they drove traffic, they did not deliver strong enough returns. However, Performance Max shopping ads proved to be highly effective, consistently driving conversions at a profitable margin.

As the campaign evolved, we identified another key challenge: Gamenetics’ top-selling controllers were dominating the Performance Max campaign, limiting exposure for other products. To solve this, we segmented the best-selling products into their own campaign with a dedicated budget, ensuring the rest of the catalog had the opportunity to gain traction. This strategic restructuring led to improved visibility across all product categories, driving a more balanced and profitable advertising strategy.

By focusing on what worked best—Performance Max shopping ads—and optimizing budget allocation, we successfully helped Gamenetics scale their Google Ads efforts without disrupting their operations, ensuring continued growth in an increasingly competitive market. Additionally, we closely monitored Google Ads return on investment, adjusting the budget throughout the year to align with customer demand and seasonal trends.

The result? A more balanced ad strategy, improved product visibility, and increased overall sales. By optimizing their Google Ads strategy, Gamenetics was able to maximize revenue without taking time away from their core operations—allowing them to focus on what they do best: building high-quality, customizable gaming controllers for dedicated players.
